How We Work

The CFE Fund helps mayors with strategies developed for cities ... by cities.

Launched at the New York Stock Exchange in April, 2012, the CFE Fund approach combines technical and adaptive work to enable cities to embrace financial empowerment strategies, consider the most appropriate large-scale services within which to embed these strategies, and boost outcomes for individuals and families in the most cost-effective manner. To do so, the CFE Fund engages in 4 key service areas:

  • Program Replication

  • Innovation and Development

  • Professional Services

  • CFE Coalition Support

Innovation Center

The CFE Fund Innovation Center delivers capacity building to expand and grow successful pilots in multiple locations, develop large-scale multi-city national replications, build technical infrastructure for improving city delivery of services, and establish a learning community that facilitates professional development, trainings, networking, and funding opportunities for cities.
